The Olympic Contests for Synchronized Swimming are a testament to the natural human ability of telepathy. What we find in College and University Level synchronized swimmers thru observation and data of the top athletes is that those teams which have been long time friends seem to have a mind connection, which far surpasses generally accepted scientific knowledge. Those synchronized swimmers that are twins have even a greater advantage, as results show that twins are often some of the top performers in the sport. These observations are quite obvious and statistically too high to be coincidence.

Scientists studying the brains of twins think in fact that they are connected or have an entangled brain advantage. And how much is practice and how much is in the development of fine mind tuning? How significant is the genetic brain entanglement of twins or the judge?s bias due to the two participants looking nearly the same? How much of these are coincidence factors of training in timing of actions or actual brain waves firing the muscles as if the brain is the engine and the muscles are moving parts? Can we really merely condemn such natural observations using science when science clearly will not face that there are other factors.

Recently I talked at length with a Synchronized Swimmer Athlete and she indicated that there was definitely mind reading factor. She indicated that those who were close friends, roommates or had similar family backgrounds were much better than those who did not have such similarities. Additionally she believed based on her own swim team that those who had been close friends since the early ages of 5 or 6 years old were far superior in every way to those who had met in college and signed up to compete on the team. Although we cannot prove this either way, I often find that those who are involved in such things on a close level seem to know what is going on. Likewise as an athlete I myself can remember having a mind-brain connection while ?in the zone? with both competitors and teammates. We must challenge the experts on these issues, as science may be clouding mankind?s greatest abilities and perhaps covering up the fact that our species and civilizations may have indeed forgotten more than we have ever known. Think on this.

The pricing, the glitz and the glamour of your website are feel goods after the purchase, it's the need to know and the satisfaction of solving the consumers' needs that makes your business successful.

Spend some time in your favorite search engine, (I prefer Google), and search for similar products or businesses that your business falls into and you'll then want to search questions about the business or product. For example if you sell socks, type in a question about footwear, low-rise socks, sports socks, etc. then you'll quickly see that successful merchants are targeting the customers' needs and they have followed the right path by solving the consumers search for answers.

For most adults, the upper body is the weakest part of the body. Swimming exercises the arms and upper body more than the legs. In competitive swimming, excessive leg muscles can be seen as a disadvantage as they consume more oxygen, which would be needed for the muscles in the arms, although this depends on the swimming style. While breaststroke generates significant movement with the legs, front crawl propels the body mainly with the arms.

Sometimes the swimming consists of swimming laps using a conventional stroke, such as the front crawl; other forms can include different forms of exercise performed in the water, such as water aerobics. Specifically, swimming and other forms of water exercise, such as water aerobics, offer remarkable cardiovascular benefits and are one of the few forms of exercise that work out the entire body. Swimming is primarily an aerobic exercise due to the relatively long exercise time, requiring a constant oxygen supply to the muscles, except for short sprints where the muscles work anaerobically. Particularly, water aerobics put a lot less stress on the knee and hip joints than running or many other aerobic activities. If you put people in the water, they don't have that pounding and compression on those joints, so they're able to exercise much more pain free. Moreover, if the water is warm, water exercise is good for people with arthritis.

Swimming and water aerobics are excellent and popular forms of exercise for the elderly, so long as the primary focus for exercise is not to improve osteoporosis.

Have you ever thought about what you're swimming in? And we don't mean the water!

Chlorine is the chemical most often used to keep swimming pools and Jacuzzis free of bacteria that can be hazardous to humans.

While the bacteria-killing properties of chlorine are very useful, chlorine also has some side effects that can be annoying to humans, and possibly even hazardous. Chlorine has a very distinctive smell that most find unpleasant, and some find overwhelming. There is also the 'itch factor' - chlorine can cause certain skin types to become itchy and irritated.

The hypochlorite ion in chlorine can cause many fabrics to fade quickly when not rinsed off immediately after exiting the pool. This is why a swimsuit that is not specifically designed to stand-up to chlorine and salt water may look faded and worn so early in the summer.

Make sure that the pool you are swimming in is well ventilated; extremely high amounts of chlorine gas hovering above a pool can be hazardous to your breathing.

Some companies have developed alternatives to chlorine, including other chemicals and ion generators. Some of these are good alternatives, but they don't achieve the cleanliness, oxidation levels or low price that chlorine provides.

Chlorine kills bacteria though a fairly simple chemical reaction. Chlorine kills microorganisms and bacteria by attacking the lipids in the cell walls and destroying the enzymes and structures inside the cell, rendering them oxidized and harmless.

Ideally, the level of pH in the pool should be between 7 and 8; 7.4 is ideal - this is the pH of human tears. Once acids and ions in chlorine are done cleaning the pool, they either combine with another chemical, such as ammonia, or are broken down into single atoms. Both of these processes render the chlorine harmless.

Sunlight speeds these processes up. You have to keep adding chlorine to the pool as it breaks down.

In recent years, research has shown that over-the-counter pain relievers may help prevent everything from Parkinson's disease to some forms of cancer. The rub: Overdoing it on the very same drugs could kill you.

'Most people aren't aware of the long-term effects of OTC (Over The Counter) abuse,' says C. Mel Wilcox, M.D., a professor of medicine at the University of Alabama. So how do you safely harness the power of pain medications?

NAPROXEN

Ear Drops Best for Swimmer's Ear; New Guidelines Recommend Ear Drops First, Not Oral Antibiotics, to Treat Swimmer's Ear.

Ear drops are the best medicine for swimmer's ear, according to the first-ever recommendations on how to treat the common condition.

Swimmer's ear affects about 1 in every 100-250 women each year and is caused by water trapped in the ear canal. Although associated with swimming and areas with warmer climates and higher humidity, any person can get swimmer's ear, also known in medical terms as acute otitis externa.

The trapped water causes bacteria in the ear canal to multiply and leads to infection and inflammation of the external ear canal. Symptoms include pain, swelling, and itching of the external ear canal and outer ear.

The guidelines recommend using ear drops to treat swimmer's ear locally and say that oral antibiotics should not be used unless the infection has spread outside the ear canal or if there are other symptoms that call for oral antibiotics.

A panel of experts from the fields of head and neck surgery, pediatrics, family medicine, infectious disease, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and medical informatics compiled the guidelines based on a review of research on swimmer's ear.

The results showed that swimmer's ear is often severe and can interfere with work or leisure activities. With proper therapy, the pain usually improves after one day and the condition completely resolves within four to seven days.

Experts say antiseptic and antibiotic ear drops are the preferred treatment for most cases of swimmer's ear because they offer safe, prompt, and effective relief while not promoting antibiotic-resistant bacteria.

Oral antibiotics are not recommended for initial treatment of swimmer's ear because overuse of antibiotics can increase the spread ofa antibiotic-resistant bacteria, are associated with more side effects, and may be less effective than ear drops.

Why I want a swimming pool

So you want a swimming pool. I know I do but that's because my body is getting flabbier as I get older and I want a pool for 2 reasons. I hope by exercising in a swimming pool it will tone my muscles, help me loose some of my flab and make me fitter and the other reason is I don't want to scare people when I use a shared pool. When I'm in a public swimming pool people think there's a whale loose in it when it's only me. Oh dear, I think I need to diet as well.

I spent last summer vacationing in Europe. I started in London - it rained, travelled through France and stayed in an old converted remote farmhouse with its own pool and then travelled down through Spain to the Costa del Sol where I then spent 3 weeks in a villa high in the Andalusian mountains with stunning sea and mountain views and of course its own swimming pool. Both pools were unique and were self-builds. The swimming pool in Spain had been built by the villa owner, a great guy called John, who was an ex pat builder from London. The swimming pool he had built was 25 ft by 32 ft. It wasn't square, the floor wasn't level, the tiling wasn't level, the slope of the floor wasn't even, and you know, it was the best swimming pool I've ever been in. It was great.

I had travelled to Spain to see the area as its somewhere I had always wanted to visit on a vacation and do you know, I need to go back as I didn't see a great deal of it. I spent most of the 3 weeks I was there in the pool. The swimming pool had what they call in England, rustic charm. The sides were not straight, the floor tiles were slightly uneven and the floor sloped ever so slightly from side to side but taken with the converted stables, now a villa, and the country setting it worked and worked very well. It was the best swimming pool I've ever been in. If I was building a swimming pool this is how I would build it. However, a swimming pool like this would not work with a new build house, it just wouldn't suit it.

Take the swimming pool in France. This was much more of a modern pool but again was in a countryside setting so a really formal new swimming pool wouldn't work and I'm pleased to say that this wasn't a formal swimming pool although at least everything was straight like the sides of the pool. Again, the design was something I had never seen before. The swimming pool sloped down from the shallow end but at a certain point, the deep part fell away on all 4 sides to become 12 ft deep. However, it had an underwater ledge about 3 ft below the surface all the way round the pool. It was great for chasing the kids round the pool, or for them chasing me, and we had a fantastic holiday with 2 fantastic pools.

The trouble was though that although I had a very long vacation, I didn't see a great deal of France or Spain except when we were travelling. The reason, well I'm sure you can guess. If not here's a clue. I had 2 fantastic swimming pools. I am sure I can describe the swimming pools better than the countryside local to where I stayed. I'll have to go back next year and try again but I know I'll be distracted by the swimming pools when choosing somewhere to stay. Then again I could try a mountain cabin with a lake to swim in. That's something I've always thought would be fun. It's a tough choice, lake or swimming pool. Maybe I can try both or better still perhaps its time I built my own swimming pool at home.
